Who We Are
The individuals at the core of Anderson Media Group (AMG) are experienced professionals
who’ve left their mark of excellence in many ways, in many areas, and on many people, both in
the fire service and in the corporate business world. And we continue to do so. We bring an
entrepreneurial spirit to our work, using traditional and non-traditional means to enhance your
messages and meet your goals. We appreciate the opportunity to bring our creativity and skills
to bear in fulfilling your professional needs.
Terry Anderson, President. The founder and owner of ERT, Inc., and Chimney Hill Estate
Enterprises, Inc., Terry has spent 15 years building successful businesses in the areas of
fire service training, creative event productions, the hotel/hospitality industry, and animal
husbandry. A former merchant mariner and petrochemical firefighter (the Exxon company’s first
female firefighter), she epitomizes the independent creative spirit and entrepreneurial success
that’s at the heart of the Anderson Media Group. Terry is the owner/operator of Chimney
Hill Bed & Breakfast, an historic property that’s one of the premier bed-and-breakfast and
meeting facilities on the East Coast. She’s the past president of the New Jersey Society of Fire
Service Instructors and is active in many community organizations and projects.
Rich Anderson, Vice President, Operations. Rich is a nationally recognized project manager, executive
producer, and creative writer for corporate and fire service events, large and small. His credits include
executive production for the Fire Department Instructors Conference (FDIC), North America’s largest fire
training conference, and the Annual Candlelight Service and National Tribute for the National Fallen
Firefighters Foundation (NFFF) Memorial Weekend, the nation’s official tribute to firefighters killed in
the line of duty and their survivors. Rich has produced full-scale, multimedia productions at the MCI
Arena in Washington, D.C., the Indiana Convention Center, and the historic Sacramento Memorial Auditorium
in California, and single audiences for such events have exceeded 10,000 individuals and 2,000,000 satellite
TV viewers. Other credits include the Ray Downey Courage and Valor Award Foundation Dinner, a special 9/11
Tribute presentation of Mozart’s Requiem, and numerous original multimedia presentations on specialized
educational topics.
In addition to work as executive producer, Rich has been the lead script writer for motivational and educational
live stage dramas, many of which were used on the main stage at FDIC conference venues throughout the country.
His creation of the “SOB Fire Department” yielded the popular “Life in the Fire Lane” series, and the dramatic
presentations of “Risin’ Up,” about overcoming the grief of 9/11 losses, gained national press attention in 2002.
Rich served as Operations Coordinator for the FDIC Education Team for two years, as FDIC General Sessions
Coordinator/Executive Producer for eight years, and as a member of its Educational Advisory Board for eight years.
Rich has more than 25 years of experience in the emergency services as a chief officer and master instructor, and
was the former president of the New Jersey Society of Fire Service Instructors. His expertise in the corporate
and fire/emergency management world come from his experience as chief and worldwide corporate program leader for
loss prevention and emergency/crisis management for a Fortune 50 company. He has consulted on industrial loss
prevention for facilities throughout the world, and continues to teach regularly on life safety. His work includes
serving as project manager for the NFFF’s “Everyone Goes Home” Life Safety Initiatives project, whose mission is
to reduce firefighter line-of-duty deaths by 50 percent by the year 2014.
